DHL gives tracking service

JAKARTA (JP): International courier DHL Worldwide Express is giving its customers an e-mail-based shipment tracking service called "e-TRACK" as a new feature.

PT Birotika Semesta/DHL Worldwide Express said in a statement on Wednesday customers can now promptly receive a shipment tracking report detailing the current status of the shipment, as well as the date, time and location of transit points passed through.

When the customer's shipment bill number is sent to the DHL e- mail address, track@DHL.com, the tracking result will be returned within seconds, it said.

"E-TRACK enables customers to have an option to help better manage their shipment information," Chief Executive Officer of DHL Asia-Pacific/ Middle-East Charles Longley said.

"This smart and user-friendly e-mail based tracking service is the latest in a series of DHL technology initiatives that reflect our continuous efforts to provide first class accessible services to customers," Longley added. (02)
