Develpment expo opens

Vendors tidy up the batik exhibits at the Bhisma Cakti stand at the World Sustainable Development Expo 2002 at the Nusa Dua complex. The exhibition, opened on Tuesday, will run through Friday, June 7, when the ministerial meeting for the World Summit on Sustainable Development here ends.

Some 120 companies, institutions, local and foreign government agencies participated in the expo. They range from mining corporations, embassies, local administrations and to various government ministries.

Some companies are exhibiting Indonesian traditional products such as batik from different parts of the country, silver jewelry and statuettes. The expo is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
