Developer asks for more time to finish work

JAKARTA: The management of developer PT Bukit Sentul Tbk. has asked for an additional two months to finish the construction of houses at Bukit Sentul estate in Bogor regency due to management restructuring, said the developer's new marketing director I.M. Omarsaid on Sunday.

"We ask for two months to solve all problems, particularly the people who have paid for their houses but the construction of which has not yet finished," he told Tempo News Room.

Buyers who had purchased property in Bukit Sentul had filed a report with the Bogor Police on Aug. 12 against the developer for fraud. The developer had promised to give the new homeowners the keys to their homes in August 2002, but none of the houses have been completed. -- JP
