Detikcom, BolehNet form alliance

JAKARTA: Indonesia's leading news portal Detik.com and free e- mail service provider BolehNet have agreed to form a strategic alliance to explore new business opportunities, according to a press statement.

CEO of Agracom, the founding owner of Detik.com, Abdul Rahman said on Thursday that the agreement had been signed in December last year covering content exchange between the two companies.

He said that Detik.com would provide news content including news about mobile services for BolehNet, while BolehNet in return would provide e-mail solutions and its games to Detik.com. Both companies will be able to sell their counterpart's advertising space.

BolehNet director Peter Kim predicted that both companies would earn additional revenue of around Rp 5 billion (about US$481,000) this year from the partnership. --JP
