Desire has no end

Be content with what you have. But man is never content with what he has. Man always aspires for more and more. One always sees something better than what one has and ultimately one's desire has no end.

Two children came to my house. I had a gift for each of them. I asked one of them which gift he wanted. He wanted both. His brother was sitting next to him, but he didn't gave him a thought. He wanted more. Such tendency leads to nothing but selfishness.

This tendency is not only found in children. Even elders have the same tendency. They think of themselves and never of others.

Kill your selfishness and you will be led to the path of success.

"Great things can be achieved only through great sacrifices," said Vivekananda, a great Indian philosopher

Expectation is the mother of all dissatisfaction. Never expect any favors from anyone. Whenever you seek a favor from another, remember that your honor is surely shattered. Rather, feel content with what you have.

A quote from Milton is perhaps more appropriate: "Honor is not a plant that grows on the mortal soil." Honor is built by us. Contentment is happiness. Right thinking, not expecting favors from others, unselfishness, great sacrifices will bring fame and name and honor to a person.
