Description of murderer
I must object to the use of the word "overzealous" to describe the 34-year-old man who was charged with killing his young lover ("Top female graduate killed by married man", page 3 of The Jakarta Post Sept. 21, 1994).
A man who plans and executes the brutal murder of a woman he is in a relationship with can hardly be called "overeager" or "ardent" (synonyms in my dictionary for overzealous).
Society will not be able to stop such crimes against women unless we correctly identify this violence for what it is -- not an act of passion, based out of a love gone wrong, but rather an act of hate carried out by a man who fears losing the ability to control the lives of those around him.
