Derogatory comments

I was listening to Lewis Turner's radio program "Expats' Night" on Kiss FM on the night of Sept. 15 and was hurt by a particular lady's derogatory comments about Indonesia.

If she doesn't like the people, the climate, the food or our complicated currency, I suggest she discuss returning to her own country privately with her husband.

There are enough expatriate wives happily living in Indonesia and I would rather hear their positive comments.

No country is perfect, but at least the expatriates have the choice of living overseas or not.

I hope the lady in question makes the right decision and returns home soon to make room for one of the many families who wish to live here and enjoy the wide culture found in Indonesia.

Should Lewis read this letter, I hope he will air more of the positive letters written by expat wives in Indonesia.
