Dengue fever kills 23 children

SEMARANG, Central Java: Twenty-three children have died and 2,146 others have been hospitalized in several dengue fever outbreaks in the municipality over this year.

Semarang spokesperson Harini Trisnadi said yesterday the figures covered the period from January to early this month. In comparison, last year dengue fever affected 2,015 children and killed 31 of them. (har/swe)
