Decomposed body found in bushes

JAKARTA (JP): The decomposed body of a boy with his palms, fingers, feet and most of his scalp missing was found in a bush at Kota Baru area in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Medical staff at the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital, where the body is being kept, said it is believed the body is of a 15-year-old boy who had been dead for about 10 days.

City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Iman Haryatna said that the local police are still trying to identify the body.

The decomposed body was found by Iram, 35, a bird hunter, at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Iram, a resident of Sunter, immediately reported his finding to security officers of the Jakarta Fair.

The body was found 200 meters from the spot where another unidentified decomposed male body was found several months ago.

"We have no idea about a possible connection. The investigation of the two cases are still underway," Iman said. (bsr)
