Decentralization of fiscal rules
It can be flattering to be quoted in the press (Decentralization of fiscal rules threaten domestic trade, The Jakarta Post, April 4, 2001, page 12) but less so when quoted incorrectly.
As a mere consultant I did not and, indeed, have no authority whatsoever to express the dramatic view as alleged, that your country "is at risk from disintegration ..." In any event I do not hold such a view. The second comment attributed to me in your report, namely that which happens to be set in quotation marks, is entirely accurate.
