Date set for Mantra's cremation

DENPASAR, Bali: The family of Ida Bagus Mantra, the former
Bali governor who died last Friday, has set July 22 as the date
for his cremation ceremony, popularly known as Ngaben.

The various Bali Hindu rituals leading to the climax of the
ceremony will begin on July 12, Antara reported.

Mantra, who also served as Indonesia's ambassador to India and
was a member of the Supreme Advisory Council, died at a local
hospital after suffering from chronic kidney disease. (emb)
