JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian chess player International Master
(MI) Danny Yuswanto finally achieved the Grand Master (GM) Norm
on Thursday after collecting an additional 1.5 match points (MPs)
at the Wotulo Memorial International Grand Master Chess
Tournament.
The additional points were earned when he beat National Master
(MN) Sugeng Prayitno in the eighth session and forced a tie with
MN Eko Supriyono in the ninth session, Antara news agency
reported.
Collecting a total of 6.5 MPs from nine matches was enough for
Danny, having an elo rating of 2487, to attain the norm. He will
be eligible for the GM title if he can reach another GM Norm in

On Wednesday Danny agreed for a tie result with GM Krishnan
Sasikiran of India.
GM Krunuslav Hulak of Croatia still leads the pack with 6.5
