'Dangdut' time in Palu

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Only about 500 people showed up at the
campaign rallies of four parties on Wednesday, but youngsters at
least got a chance to enjoy dangdut dancing.

Business went on as usual in several parts of the town and the
only signs of campaigning were the occasional passing, open cars
transporting party supporters to and from rallies.

The township's election committee ruled against street
rallies, to which parties mostly complied. (38)
