Dancing festival at TIM

Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman Djojonegoro will open a three-day traditional dancing festival at the Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, on Sept. 27.

I Gusti Bagus Adi Perbawa, the festival's chief organizer, said recently that dozens of dancers will perform various traditional dances in the festival.

He added that the organizing committee will also hold a seminar on traditional dancing in conjunction with the event. Included among the speakers are prominent folk dance instructors I Wayan Dibya from Denpasar, Bali, Endo Suanda from Bandung, West Java, and Nungki Kusumastuti from Jakarta. (09)
