Danareksa opens outlet
JAKARTA (JP): State-owned fund manager PT Danareksa Fund Management opened its second retail outlet yesterday at the Jakarta International Trading Center in Mangga Dua, North Jakarta.
Company president Iwan Pontjowinoto said the Sentra Investasi Danareksa outlet would function as an investment information center and a remote trading terminal for investors.
The company opened its first outlet in August at Pondok Indah Mall, South Jakarta.
"The first outlet has so far drawn 100 investors and recorded a transaction value of Rp 530 billion (US$224.57 million)," Iwan said at the Mangga Dua outlet's opening.
He said both outlets would help Danareksa sell its mutual fund units to individual investors.
Iwan said Danareksa would open its third outlet next week in the BNI Tower in Surabaya.
Danareksa launched three mutual funds -- the Mawar Fund, Anggrek Fund and Melati Fund -- in July. Each fund has 500 million units, each with a Rp 1,000 face value. (04)
