Damri suspends Medan-Jakarta service

MEDAN, North Sumatra: State-owned bus company Damri will
temporary halt service on the Medan-Jakarta route for two weeks
as of Dec. 20.

Head of the company's Medan branch Bambang Sugiharto said on
Friday that the buses serving that route would be reassigned to
serve the Medan-Pariaman, West Sumatra, route which is expected
to be in high demand during the coming holiday season.

The regular Medan-Jakarta route will resume on Jan. 4,
Bambang said as quoted by Antara.
