Damaged track disrupts trains
BANDUNG: Damage to a railway track stretching between Padalarang and Purwakarta, West Java, disrupted trains on Tuesday.
The Parahyangan and Argogede trains serving Bandung-Jakarta were among the trains affected by the railway track damage on Tuesday.
Akhmad Sujadi, spokesman for PT KAI railway company in Bandung, said a 30-centimeter section of the track was damaged. "The track could be too old."
He said the trouble spot was between Maswati and Rendeh stations, adding that the damage was first noticed by a railway supervisor early on Tuesday morning. (25/sur)
