JAKARTA - Daihatsu recorded retail sales of 12,300 units in April 2026. This achievement is claimed to demonstrate positive performance with an 11% increase compared to the previous month of 11,115 units, and around 25% compared to April 2025.

Daihatsu’s sales achievement in April 2026 was supported by several models, both in the passenger vehicle and light commercial segments.

From passenger vehicles, Daihatsu achieved sales of 5,879 units, contributing around 48% to total sales.

Sigra and Ayla, which compete in the LCGC segment, continued to dominate with sales of 3,627 units or around 30% of Daihatsu’s total sales.

The Gran Max series in the commercial segment sold 6,421 units and became the main contributor with a portion of around 52% of Daihatsu’s total sales.

Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing Director and Corporate Communication Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), stated that the consistency of Sigra and Ayla as the primary choice for first-time car buyers in Indonesia, as well as the significant growth of Gran Max, indicates the public’s mobility needs are increasingly directed towards functional, efficient solutions that support productivity.

Among all models marketed, the Gran Max pickup became the bestseller with sales of 4,355 units, while the minibus and blind van variants recorded 2,066 units.

The Gran Max series sales achievement once again affirms its role as a reliable business vehicle for entrepreneurs, from SMEs to companies. This model is available with two engine options, namely 1,300 cc and 1,500 cc, as well as an automatic transmission option.

As part of its commitment to providing added value for customers, Daihatsu is presenting the Midyear Surprise Deal programme for the period of 1 May to 31 July 2026. This programme offers prospective consumers the opportunity to win a specially modified Daihatsu car.
