Crackdown on illegal liquor
SAMARINDA, East Kalimantan: Police have seized more than 11,500 bottles of liquor from unauthorized shops this month.
The authorities also confiscated a large quantity of illicit drugs of various brand names, Samarinda police precinct chief Lt. Col. Suprihadi Usman said Thursday.
Eight drug consuming students and 20 illegal liquor sellers were also arrested, he said.
"The authorities plan to provide medication and intensive counseling for the students," he was quoted by Antara as saying.(pan)
