Couple held over forged bills

JAKARTA (JP): Police said Saturday they were getting tougher
on the couple they arrested last week for counterfeiting money in
Serpong, Tangerang, about 30 kilometers south of here.

Police sources said the police wanted to know more about the
roles of Bachtiar, 42, and Susan, 37, in the alleged counterfeit
of about Rp 1.9 billion.

Last Thursday, police raided the couple's house at Villa
Melati Mas confiscating a printing machine, forged money and
other evidence.

Police said the couple had circulated Rp 500 million in forged
Rp 20,000 notes. (04)
