Couple found dead in housing complex

TANGERANG (JP): A couple was found dead yesterday with their hands tied together at a house in the Modernland housing complex.

Local residents said the bodies of Hendra Rusmawan, 47, and his wife Prastiwi, 42, were found in the bedroom after the couple's driver, Supadi, and residents broke into the house.

The couple was believed to have died several days ago as their bodies were in a state of decomposition.

Supadi asked the residents to accompany him as the front gate was still locked.

Tangerang Police chief of detectives Capt. Krisnadi said the incident was still being investigated.

"We are still collecting data from witnesses, including relatives of the family."

Krisnadi said a security officer in the housing complex saw the victims' Peugeot sedan leave the complex Sunday but he could not see the driver as it was dark.

The couple's Land Cruiser jeep and Grand Civic sedan were still in the garage but the Peugeot sedan was missing. (jun)
