Councillors to face defamation trial

BENGKULU: Police investigators are compiling case files on two
local councillors who have been accused of defaming Bengkulu
Mayor Chalik Effendi.

Bengkulu chief of detectives First. Insp. Novel said the
police were questioning a third councillor and an activist with a
local non-governmental organization in the city on a similar
charge.

All four suspects recently accused the Bengkulu mayor of
