Councillors find sex workers at mall

PEKANBARU, Riau: In an impromptu visit, several councillors visited at dawn on Sunday a mall on Jl. Sudirman, here, to discover that reports of sex workers operating in the mall were true.

Some of the alleged sex workers were foreigners, who had no immigration documents, said councillor Edi Basri.

Gambling activities were also observed in the mall, which is the biggest in Pekanbaru.

The Pekanbaru council plans to discuss the situation with the police and immigration officers, said Edi. -- JP
