Cost of education in Britain

Your article RI students seek broader experience in Britain in the online edition of your newspaper on March 7 appears to show incorrect information. You quote the cost of education in Britain at between GBP6,000-10,000 (US$5,235) per year.

The current exchange rate is approximately GBP1 to US$1.93, so either the GBP or the US$ costs are calculated incorrectly.

You also mention the monthly living cost is GBP700. This figure for one individual studying in the UK is extremely high and the costs should be much lower than this.

I point the above out as I would not like for any potential student wishing to study in the UK to make incorrect cost calculations. CARL BAIER Hong Kong
