Corruption everywhere

Indonesians may cry over the blood spilled by our national
heroes who fought and died to free our country from Dutch
colonial rule. Sadly, we are now witnessing an era when
corruption has become the issue of the day.

I beg all functionaries and officials to please give due
appreciation to those who died for you and the positions you now
hold, and serve the nation according to your capacities and
capabilities.

Stop craving wealth. Do not set a bad example for the children
who will become future leaders of the country. Otherwise, this
country will lag behind other nations and fall into disgrace.
