'Corby is guilty' prosecutor insists

DENPASAR, Bali: The team of prosecutors prosecuting drug suspect Schapelle Leigh Corby insisted on Friday that Corby was guilty of smuggling marijuana into Bali, and that she should be jailed for life. At the trial session in the Denpasar district court, prosecutors also demanded that the panel of judges reject Corby's defense statements.

Prosecutor Ida Bagus Wiswantanu said that the panel of judges had to stick to the fact that Corby had 4.1 kilograms of marijuana in her bag when she was arrived at Denpasar airport, so she had to be declared guilty.

The trial against the Australian citizen has been adjourned until next week to hear her response. -- JP
