Cooking oil factory razed

JAKARTA (JP): A fire razed the Bimoli cooking oil factory on Jl. Jembatan Tiga, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, yesterday injuring one person.

The fire started at 9:30 a.m. and was believed to have started in the factory's finishing unit.

Firefighter Sukarjo believed an electrical short circuit caused the fire.

Ten fire brigade and three factory trucks put out the fire within an hour.

Police said no one was detained and financial losses were still being calculated.

Unofficial estimates of the fire's damage were about Rp 100 million (US$42,105). (jun)
