Cookies seller found dead

JAKARTA (JP): A cookie seller who was on his way to visit a relative in the hospital ended up instead in the morgue of the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital.

Djap Khin Tjin of Bungur district, Central Jakarta, died from a head wound suspected to have come from a blow by a blunt object. His body was found under the Dakota flyover on Landas Pacu Barat, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

Police said they found his cellular phone, watch, spectacles and Rp 500,000 in cash, making robbery an unlikely cause of his death.

They said he could have fallen from the flyover while riding his motorcycle, which was missing. They recalled two other recent incidents at the same location.

Relatives, including the victim's wife, believe he was murdered. (07)
