Control and security

Vice President Try Sutrisno explained during a visit last week to the Ministry of Defense and Security explained that the recent cases of unrest around the country show that supervision and control need to be improved, both in government and private institutions.

According to the Vice President, inadequate control in the areas of politics, the economy, social welfare, culture as well as defense and security could give rise to situations in which dissatisfaction and discontent take a destructive turn. In the coming years improved supervision and control will become more necessary. One of the reasons is the growing role of the private sector and its emphasis on economic gain.

Safety valves in all spheres of community life should therefore be prepared.
