JAKARTA (JP): A construction worker was mobbed and stabbed to death yesterday by three men after a drunken party in a makeshift house behind a hotel in Jl. Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.

Jakarta Police Spokesman Maj. Nyoman Suriasta said local residents found Alfian, 29, lying in the house behind the Gran Melia hotel.

"Police have identified the suspects. We hope we will arrest them soon," Nyoman said.

Alfian, who is survived by a wife and son, suffered severe stab wounds to his stomach, chest and head.
