Conference on APEC declaration

JAKARTA (JP): The city administration, in cooperation with the
International Union of Local Authorities-Asian Pacific Section
(IULA-ASPAC), will hold an international conference on the role
of the local administration in implementing the APEC declaration
at Horison Hotel from Sept. 25 to 28.

Sulaiman Abdulmanan, an executive of the organizing committee,
said in a statement made available to The Jakarta Post that the
conference is expected to be attended by about 500 delegates from
IULA-ASPAC countries, including Australia, Japan, New Zealand and
the Philippines. (hhr)
