Concert, workshop at Teater Utan Kayu

JAKARTA (JP): Violinist I Gusti Bagus Wismakarma and pianists
Ary Sutedja and Iswargia R. Sudarno will perform works for piano
and for violin and piano by the German composer Detlev Glanert at
Teater Utan Kayu, East Jakarta, on Friday (March 31).

The prize-winning composer, who was born in Hamburg in 1960
and now lives in Berlin, has composed about thirty works that
include chamber pieces, five operas, three symphonies and pieces
for various instrumental combinations.

In conjunction with the concert, Glanert will give a speech
and a workshop for invited guests the next day. The organizer,
the Goethe Institute, has collaborated with Teater Utan Kayu and
the Association of Indonesian Composers to make this presentation
