Concert call for Erwin, Branch, Iwan

It's concert time for local artists again this month. After holding a concert for singer Krisdayanti last September, composer/arranger Erwin Gutawa will hold his own on Thursday at the Jakarta Convention Center.

Alternately, for all you fans of Michelle Branch, the American teen queen singer who really writes her own stuff, catch her this afternoon at 2 p.m. at Hard Rock Cafe in the Sarinah building, Central Jakarta.

For Konser Eg, Erwin will act as band member, composer, arranger, conductor and producer. Also performing are Chrisye, Ruth Sahanaya, Krisdayanti, Slank and Sheila on 7.

The event will also be a reunion concert for Erwin and his former jazz band Karimata.

Iwan Fals, recently picked among Asia's 25 Greatest Living Heroes by Time magazine, will hold a joint concert here with rock group Padi.

Tickets for the concert, scheduled for May 24 at the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center, are Rp 75,000 for festival and Rp 150,000 for first class.
