Compaq/HP service

Interested in a Compaq/HP promotion advertisement in a newspaper on Oct. 20, I decided to buy a HP Compaq Business Notebook nx7000 Centrino that was delivered on Oct. 21 for US$1,890 (promotion price). But surprisingly, in less than two weeks, in the same newspaper on Nov. 6, I saw the price advertised as $1,799. And this price remained unchanged in the advertisements on Nov. 18 and Dec. 2 in the same newspaper.

I felt that I have been cheated by the advertisement by Compaq/HP.

The most disappointing thing was that every time I turned on the notebook there was a sudden black out for a couple of seconds. On Oct. 28 the dealer took it for service for the first time. But the same problem still occurred.

On Nov. 19 the dealer took it again for service. This time the dealer had to replace broken parts. As the notebook was still not functioning properly, the dealer then took it again and promised to replace it with a new one. But until now I have not received the replacement yet.

I have complained through the HP Website and to HP Singapore. I hope Compaq/HP will deliver the replacement shortly.
