Company hopes to get 'hands' on new record

JAKARTA: A pharmaceutical company hopes to create a new record for longest chain of hand-holders at the Ancol Dreamland in North Jakarta on Monday.

The company is trying to break the Indonesian record of 1,000 meters set by PT Astra Internasional Daihatsu in 2001.

About 4,000 employees and family members of the pharmaceutical company will try to break the record, which would be registered with the Indonesian Museum of Records in Semarang.

Paulus Pangka, manager of the museum, said on Friday the event was unique because it would create and strengthen unity among the company's employees and family members. -- Antara
