Commission files review of KPTPK

JAKARTA: The Public Servants' Wealth Audit Commission (KPKPN)
planned to submit a judicial review request to the Supreme Court
over law No. 30/2002 on Commission of Corruption Eradication
(KPTPK) later this month.

"We will submit it before March 26," KPKPN Chairman Yusuf
Syakir told reporters on Monday.

He said KPKPN expected the court to withdraw several articles
of the law, particularly on the termination of KPKPN following
the establishment of KPTPK.

Syakir said the law did not authorize KPTPK to audit public
servants' wealth, which often indicates possible graft committed
by the officials. -- JP
