of readers. The Jakarta Post owes its success -- if surviving for
20 years in the newspaper industry is deemed a success story --
to its loyal readers, as well as to the commitment of its
employees, past and present.</p><p>For this page and the opposite one, we asked a selected number
of longtime readers, some of whom no longer reside in Jakarta, to
share with us their thoughts about the newspaper.</p><p>Several former employees also relate their experiences with
the newspaper (we apologize that we do not have all their photos
in our album).</p><p>We are grateful for their contribution to these pages.</p>
