Colombian speed

BARCELONA: The Formula One world is buzzing over Juan-Pablo Montoya after the Colombian set the pace in a week of testing at Barcelona last week.

Montoya -- who was Australian Craig Lowndes' teammate in Formula 3000 this year -- was one of four young drivers tested by the Williams team and he shocked everyone by setting a time one second quicker than his rivals.

Montoya's time was even faster than that managed by the Benetton and McLaren teams, the latter using Bridgestone tires for the first time.
