Collusion kills honor

For the umpteenth time outspoken House Speaker Wahono has lashed out at collusion. Collusion cases, he said, have been unveiled one by one in recent months and the regularity has muted people's sense of embarrassment.

Those who practice collusion have exploited loopholes in the law and the low integrity and responsibility of both the bureaucracy and businesspeople.

The Supreme Audit Agency has unveiled discrepancies in 12 irrigation projects and eight development projects in the 1995/1996 state budget spending.

Collusion will not only damage our economic resilience but also drain the state coffers.

We believe Wahono's statement should be followed up with a battle against various fund leakages and power abuses through law enforcement.
