Coffee investors sought
JAKARTA (JP): The Southeast Sulawesi administration is seeking local and foreign investors to open coffee plantations.
The province's plantation service chairman, Soewondo, said in Kendari yesterday that there were at least 10,000 hectares on which Arabica coffee could be planted.
He said most of the land was in the northern part of Kolaka district.
Locals there have developed 2,000 hectares of coffee plantations with financial assistance from Japan's Overseas Economic Cooperation fund. (bnt)
