Australia-based Coca Cola Amatil will increase its investment in Indonesia by A$100 million per year, it was announced when the company’s managing director Terry Davis met Wednesday with Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
Davis told reporters after the meeting at the Presidential Office that his company would continue to increase its investment in the country every year for at least the next three years.
“Tomorrow we’ll be announcing [that] we’ll be increasing our investment in Indonesia by a hundred million dollars per year for at least the next three years,” he said.
“So we’re gladful [sic] to be able to talk to the President today and share with him our plans for Indonesia.”
Davis said the President explained to him that Indonesia was continually improving power access and infrastructure, something his company had been hoping to hear.
He added that Coca Cola Amatil, which bottles non-alcoholic beverages, employed 10,000 Indonesians and was planning to expand the business through, among others, increasing warehousing and distribution.
