Club gives players health insurance

JAKARTA (JP): Basketball club Mahaka Satria Muda now provides
health insurance and scholarships for its members, it was
announced on Tuesday.

The insurance also covers the family of a player, including
the player's spouse and two children.

"It's time for us to appreciate our players, coaches and
officials as the club's assets. They should be rewarded for their
sacrifices to promote basketball in this country," said Erick
Thohir, Mahaka SM's manager.

The club will hold competitions for the juniors and talented
players who will represent the club in the national basketball
league (Kobatama). (ivy)
