Clowns

Clowns are everywhere!

They use different faces to amuse people

and change colors to suit their audience

Politics is like a circus

It has jugglers, clowns and the audience

People scream with joy when clowns wear similar faces

and colors as theirs

And, they become repulsed when clowns use other colors

Do we know the real faces of the clowns?

Were they born with different faces

or wear different ones because the audience wants them to?

Who should we trust if we don't know their real faces?

Some audiences are also getting tired of their jests

Whether they are hungry, in pain or desperate

they still talk with bad jokes

I prefer to be alone

Of late I have preferred to be alone

to remain silent,

I turn off the radio and the TV set

shut the windows and all the doors

so that I hear nothing

and no sounds will sneak into my ears

Let tranquility be my friend

and serenity be with me

in my meditation

in seclusion

It is in this situation

I'll hopefully find my conscience
