Clinic opened by Taufik has no permit

TANGERANG: The Waluyo Sejati Abadi health clinic, which was
inaugurated by President Megawati Soekarnoputri's husband Taufik
Kiemas last week, has yet to receive a permit from the Tangerang
municipality.

"We don't blame anybody but the clinic has no permit. It has
violated a Ministry of Health regulation," said the head of the
municipality health agency, Nuriman Machyudin, on Friday.

He said the municipality would send a warning letter to the
clinic. Should the clinic ignore the letter, the municipality
could close it down.

Nuriman said the regulation states the clinic -- established
by Ribka Tjiptaning, a supporter of the Indonesian Democratic
Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) -- must obtain two permits: a
temporary permit from the municipality and a permanent permit
from the health agency. -- Antara
