Clean up your area or face dismissal

JAKARTA: The heads of subdistricts and districts in North
Jakarta municipality have been told to clean up their area or
face administrative sanctions, including dismissal.

North Jakarta Mayor Syafruddin Putra said he was concerned
about sanitation in the areas as it failed to impress a
provincial jury tasked with assessing sanitation in all
municipalities and the Thousand Islands regency.

He was quoted by Beritajakarta.com that so far the jury only
gave a mark of 65 to North Jakarta, while it needed 70 if it
wants to receive an award from the Jakarta administration.

"I hope they (district and subdistrict heads) will work well.
Otherwise, their promotions may be delayed or they may even be
dismissed," Syafruddin said. -- JP
