Clarification on Chikungunya

With reference to a news story about the Chikungunya disease
published in The Jakarta Post dated Jan. 13, 2004, we would like
to thank you for informing the public about this disease but wish
to clarify as follows:
* There is no epidemic of the Chikungunya disease in the city of
Jakarta, or more particularly, in Keagungan subdistrict, Taman
Sari district, West Jakarta.
* The symptoms of Chikungunya disease are similar to those of a
common cold. People affected by the disease can recover by
themselves as long as they "have sufficient resistance"?.
