City to hold fireworks show

To celebrate being awarded the Parasamya Purnakarya Nugraha by the central government, the Jakarta city administration will hold a fireworks fiesta at the Monas Square Saturday evening.

The display will be held in cooperation with Lippo Life insurance company.

The award was given to the city administration for its success in the implementation of development programs during the Five- Year Development period, which ended last year.

The fiesta, which will last only 20 minutes, will start at 20.00 hours and be attended by Governor Surjadi Soedirdja.
