City Police get new spokesman

JAKARTA: Sr. Comr. Tjiptono became on Wednesday the new spokesman for the Jakarta Police.

The former head of traffic police in Aceh replaced Sr. Comr. Prasetyo, who was promoted to the position of Banyumas Police chief in Central Java.

Prasetyo, who attended the handover ceremony on Wednesday, bid farewell to dozens of reporters and his subordinates.

"I apologize to reporters if I have done anything wrong in the past," Prasetyo said during a farewell lunch. --JP
