City launches Enjoy Jakarta 2005

JAKARTA: The Jakarta Tourism Agency launched on Monday an
annual promotional package for tourists coming into town under
the slogan Enjoy Jakarta 2005.

"Throughout the year, we will distribute discount cards to
tourists visiting the city," agency head Harianto Badjuri said at
City Hall.

Harianto said that the promotional package would cover several
interesting programs, including golf tournaments (from March to
April), a marine festival (May-June), a shopping festival (June-
July) and an international dining promotion (August-September).

"The promotional programs will peak in an entertainment party,
which will be held in two months from November to December," he
said.

The administration, he said, had also appointed pop singer
Krisdayanti to become the city's tourist envoy in the program.
