City gets new subprecinct buildings
JAKARTA: Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Makbul Padmanagara officiated on Monday three new buildings for the Cipayung Police subprecinct in East Jakarta, Ciledug subprecinct in South Jakarta and Cimanggis subprecinct in Depok, West Java.
The ceremony was held at the Cipayung subprecinct, which stands on land granted by Harapan Kita Foundation, which is owned by the family of former first lady, the late Tien Soeharto.
Besides the foundation, Makbul also thanked five private companies for their contribution to the development of the subprecinct buildings as well as the development of the main building of a police school in Lido, Sukabumi, West Java, and the Police Mobile Brigade headquarters in Cipinang, East Jakarta.
"The development of the infrastructure is our attempt to meet public demand for better services," said Makbul in his speech.
He added the fund for the construction was derived from last year's state budget. -- JP
